Workspace and team
Profile
Set the name your team sees on notes, assignments and the inbox, and choose which emails OrbitBase sends you.
Your profile is how you appear to your teammates in the inbox, on assignments and on notes. You'll find it under Settings → Profile, the first item in the Settings menu. Everyone has a profile, whatever their role.
Your profile is personal. Changes you make here only affect you, not the rest of your team.
Update your name
Open your profile
Go to Settings → Profile.
Change your name
Type the name you want your team to see in Name. Names can be up to 60 characters.
Save
Click Save changes. You'll see Profile saved.
If you edit a field and haven't saved yet, the page shows Unsaved changes.
Your avatar
Your Avatar is your initials on a colour that's yours. It updates automatically when you change your name, and the colour stays the same everywhere your team sees you. There's no image to upload.
Fields you can't change here
- Email is the address you sign in with. It can't be changed from your profile.
- Role shows whether you're an Owner, Admin or Member. It's set for you by your organisation, and owners and admins change it from Settings → Team. See Team and roles.
Email notifications
Below your details, Email notifications lets you choose which emails OrbitBase sends you. Every email is on until you turn it off. Flip the switches you want, then click Save preferences.
The switches are grouped into Inbox, Leads, Cases, Workspace alerts and Billing. Members only see the emails they can receive. Workspace alerts, billing emails and the case allowance warning go to owners and admins only, so only they see those switches.
Invitations and data exports you ask for are always emailed, and can't be turned off.
These switches only control email. The notification bell inside the app is always on. For the full list of what triggers each email, see Notifications.
If you're an owner or admin, think twice before turning off Billing alerts. You won't hear about a failed payment until access is affected.
Signing in
OrbitBase doesn't use passwords. You sign in with a link sent to your email address, so there's no password to change or reset here.
